Hey everyone! I'm back today with a fun technique that shows you how to fold your papers to create these really cute boxes. They're easy to assemble, require no glue and can be made from one sheet of paper and a flag banner.
I'll admit that I did not invent these little boxes. My friend had something similar on display in her home but it was larger and had a little paper vignette inside. I took the concept, scaled it down and created a template to fit an 8.5 X 11 sheet of paper that could go through the printer. You could also cut out the template and trace it onto your crafting paper.
I scored all of the straight lines, cut around the outside and creased the folds. Using a craft knife I cut the center from one of the triangles to create a window and glued a piece of transparency inside. One tip that I discovered was that it was better to apply the flag banner to the outside of the design before folding the box. That way you'll be able to open and close it easily as many times as you'd like.
I punched a hole at the tip of each triangle and threaded ribbon through the holes while folding the sides up.
The result are these cute little boxes that can be filled with whatever you'd like! I thought that they'd make cute spring Easter decorations and filled mine with chocolate eggs.
I hope you try making these little boxes and please let us know if you do!
