"oldies but goodies" as the saying goes, is how i feel when i see projects that use "vintage sassafras". the term vintage might be a bit of a stretch... 2 years old seems really young to be labeled vintage. but i just love the word... and even spotting slightly vintage sassafras already feels so nostalgic to me. what about you? what sassafras collection do you look back and recall with a feeling of fondness? if you just so happen to have some of these nearly extinct items in your crafty stash then you may want to get them out after seeing what these girls have created. fresh inspiration for your vintage sassafras stash....
spot something familiar in this room? april foster of studio calico has been telling us for years that one day when she had her first baby she was going to hang the "my dearest" poster in her babies room. what a special spot for the little wooden fawn to live... a sweet new babies room. i love that she's held onto that poster for years and it fits into the room so perfectly!
have your own favorite project using a sassafras from the past? please share.... we will have more vintage posts along the way. todays favorites will become tomorrow's nostalgic classics.
LOVE vintage Sassy! I scour the net looking for it- some of the embellies in these FABULOUS pages are making me want to go ahunting. :)

I have quite a bit of vintage Sass, and I'm excited to get my hands on that new paper crush line!! This is the first card that I EVER made. It was also the first time that I used some Sass on a project. Take a gander :)

I have a ton of Sass, but probably my favorites using the older lines that I have hoarded are this one from our trip to Disneyland last Summer: http://www.houseofpaper.com/custom/photopost/data/741/244Pirates_Lair.jpg
And this one, using little bits & pieces: http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_HzSxZqpBRpw/S3zYVgiGUII/AAAAAAAAAjk/87MoSIj_cU4/s1600-h/curious.jpg
