The Studio Calico gallery is filled with with award winning projects every month.... this month is no exception. Sassafras had the pleasure of collaborating with studio calico on a new adventure this month. For the first time in Studio Calico history all kit subscribers will receive an original patterned paper from a manufacturer (like us) designed just for Studio Calico. We know many of you are faithful kit subscribers.... if not there are still a few kits available for purchase.

Wondering which patterns are the Sassafras specials? This first project shows 3 of the 4 patterns... (2 double sided Sassafras patterns come with your kit).

Like the green dots on the top left, the golden and cream intricate pattern behind the photo, and the collage stripes with rows of colorful shapes?

Here's a little lingo from inside the sassafras studio... this style of pattern with the mix of shapes and colors in row's.... we call it a "creme brulee". The very first time we designed a paper like this was waaayyy back in "Scrumptious" and "Blue Boutique" days. Does anyone remembe that era of Sassafras history? The day the owl's were born? In "Scrumptios" there was a fun stripey pattern named creme brulee. Well that name stuck in our minds as that style of paper.... ever since you'll hear that term used often during design time around here. Ohhh we can't forget the creme brulee.
