sassafras: how to make a teensy house a tinsy home, by lilibee... (part 1)

oh my gosh, we're so excited. the super-duper, amazing, talented and all around incredible sassafras dt extraordinaire leila bentahar has come to our little old blog and written up a special tutorial, just for you!!! and just in time for the weekend. mother's day weekend at that...if any of you know a new mommy i bet a gift like this would be her favorite little treasure! (well, second favorite maybe)

Hi everyone! :) This is Leila from LilibeeStudio. I feel happy and proud to do my first tutorial on the Sassafras blog. This time i chose the cute Nerdy Bird collection to make this house shaped and easy-to-do minibook:

I used the following supplies:

Nerdy Bird 12/12 papers , Nerdy Bird wee Bundle 6x6 ,Nerdy Bird journal Tags stickers, Nerdy Bird sweet treats stickers, Apple Jack alpha stickers ,Puddle jumpers felties , Alpha Token Pink chipoard stickers,Nerdy Bird flag banner stickers, white cardstock , yellow acrylic painting.

Cut out two cardstock pieces using the figure above. Paint them with yellow acrylic.

Fold the two pieces (see figure above) and attached them.

Cover each side side with paper. Adhere a paper trim on the bottom, then add a flag banner sticker all around.

Make the chimney by folding a small ( 4 cm x 2.5 cm x 1cm ) piece of cardstock. See photo above.

Make a hole on the right side of house roof ( 4 cm height x 1cm width ) and insert the chemney. Adhere the cloud.

Decorate it with more flag banner stickers , sweet treat stickers and stiched buttons.
