here at sass headquarters, cha is always a buzz of excitement and mad dashes to get things ready.
pre-show, tim and rebecca are buried in design work and last minute details. the rest of us are scurrying around the office at triple-speed doing this and that....and there are a lot of this's and that's to do when cha is drawing near, let me tell you! at some point during all of this, we also get to view the new goodies that tim and rebecca have spent months creating....and that is a fun, fun half hour or so. sooo exciting! then, back to work. work, work, work to get ready!
then comes showtime. this year, i stayed here with our little brooke pal to watch over home base since she could be having a baby at any time. so brooke and i didn't get to see the most exciting thing of all (aside from the new product of course)...the thing that makes our hearts flitter flutter at every show...the thing that everyone puts so much love and effort into...the sass booth. where we get to create a whole sassafrass atmosphere, a little art gallery, in which to unveil our brand new designs and products. and where we get to meet some of the greatest people on the planet.
so you can imagine how thrilled brooke and i were to see these pictures in our inbox this morning!!! rebecca and hayley sent us a few camera phone pics of the booth.....and we just had to share with you.
afterwards perhaps you would like to see a nicely thorough review of all the new sass, and more?! check out this link i found today: CraftCritique.com
but pics first...here you go. look how pretty!
"welcome, come in, say hi, have a look around!"
ahem...stop the press!!! what is this?! could it be....are these the lovely new Vintage Brooches that people all over cha have been whispering about??? why, i think they are! introducing sassafras painted metal vintage brooches....soft pink, lemon yellow, and fresh blue!
ok, it's not the best picture in the entire world. but i can't get enough of these....the new paper blooms are the perfect combination of funky and elegant. soooo sass! these are the 'world travels' version....
garden bits.....i want to put these on everything!
the delicate olio paper from mix and mend is sooo gorgeous....i wish i could wrap myself in it and drink lemonade under a shade tree on a breezy summer day. at the top is a swatch from the b-side.
check out these two gorgeous layouts from our dt supers!!
i honestly can't pick a favorite from the mix and mend collection....but this 'tailored sweetly' paper is definitely in my top six. i spy a little bit of 'fancy free' in there too, and the new blues chipboard stickers....swoooon!
indie girl!!! look how beautifully the seamstress bouquet paper whimsies blend....and those pink glitter alphas just grab your eye don't they? i see five of the six indie girl papers in this layout, a journal tag, and a flag banner.....stunning!
thanks for stopping by our booth, it was fun!!! we'll see you again soon....perhaps with some lucky winners from the last few days' comments!!!
~kathy
p.s....if you haven't entered to win your favorite collection yet, check the post revealing it and get in on the drawing!
