hello and happy monday friends! we wanted to start the week off with some beautiful projects to excite and inspire you. so today we are breaking out our latest stash of favorite finds from around the web...

 

were you one of the lucky classmates who took this class taught by natasja verbeek ? these projects are soooo pretty and full of cherry delicious goodness:  

 

 
 

this next one came to us from gretchen.  the numerical chipboard stickers mix in perfectly with the cherry flag banners....love it!

the icing on the cupcake...

what is it about cupcakes that we just can't get enough of? besides the fact that they are yum....that's a given. i love everything about them....from crinkly cupcake liners to colorful frosting to the way they look sitting on a little square napkin. cupcakes just make me happy. and my favorite thing ever is cupcake toppers....the perfect addition to make a little cupcake all the more precious! 

so you can imagine my delight when i saw these pretty cupcake gems from alexa gill....who makes some of the most awesome looking cupcakes ever if you ask me.  i love the colors, the texture of the icing....and of course the flag banner toppers.  what a delicious way to use up your extra flag banner stickers...

 

isn't that cool?!  here are some more pics from alexa's blog, and a little bit about her cupcake topper idea in her own words:

 

 

 

"i had a pack of the new border stickers from Sassafrasin a kit recently and after using them on 5 different pages, i still had over half the sheet left! So i was trying to think of other ways to use them up and i thought they'd make cute little 'flags'. i just cut the border strip up and stuck 2 stickers back to back with a cocktail stick in the middle. These stickers are all the same so they match.

There's enough of each border strip to make 6 toppers."

 

 

 

 

With these, each one is different so you get a whole new look when you turn the toppers around."

 

 

 

 

" It's so quick and easy! i think they look charming. And they would work on a page too, perhaps using a pin as the stick instead? Think i'll try that out next. Have you used any scrapbooking products in unusual ways lately?"
