Hello, again!
It's Michelle Clement here with the second half of my mini 'journal-beyond-the-photos' scrapbook exercise - this time applying the delve-deeper outlook to older 'then' photos, as opposed to newer photos (I used some fun photos from my childhood, when memories are fuzzy but some odd little parts are crystal clear! These are the funnest to look back on!).
I had these old photos of my sister and I having a tea party way-back-when in mind to use with the new 'Nerdy Bird' Sassafras line, because the colors were just perfect (not to mention the cute tea cups!), and they actually ended up being what inspired the whole idea behind these two pages I've shared here with you this week!
Oddly enough, when I looked at them I could barely remember having the tea parties the pictures had captured us having at all! lol. I just remembered that we would play up in the room with these big life-size dolls, and that my sister was almost the exact same size as them, and she always sat really still with the same wide-eyed grin on her face in between them - you could sometimes miss her in the row of them, if you didn't know she was there! lol. :)
So that's what I journalled about, on this fun little page:
"Tea Time" by Michelle Clement
(Made using both the 'Nerdy Bird' and 'Apple Jack' collections)
The journalling reads: 'Tea time at Rob and Viv's. I remember Nay was smaller than the dolls - like one of them.' Simply put, but the point is there in words, now - and it's also quite apparent from the pictures, too - which helps support the simple wording! Easy Peasy - and super-fun!
Have you tried this lately on your scrapbook pages? I'd love to see!
(PS - How much does the Nerdy Bird collection rock??
I think it's my new very very favorite!)
